I am an educator expanding to Instructional Design and eLearning Development. Through my experiences as an educator and as a volunteer in many different project management based capacities, I have confirmed my passion for helping people learn and solving problems. I have also discovered that I really enjoy designing and developing engaging and effective learning experiences that create change resulting in positive outcomes. As an educator, I used technology to create courses daily, and upon deciding to make the change to instructional design, I embarked on a journey of learning new skills, tools and technologies that are featured in my portfolio. I also acquired knowledge of instructional design best practices such as ADDIE, backwards planning, action mapping, andragogy, The Kirkpatrick Model, Mayer's 12 Principals of Multimedia, and visual design - to name a few.
